Serponado
“Serponado” is a made-up word created specifically for the 2026 SEO Contest. In this contest, well-known SEO techniques (search engine optimization) are used to determine which domain can reach the number one spot in the top 20 search results on search engines the fastest and remain there the longest. This is known as ranking. This applies specifically to Google, as it is the most widely used internet search engine.
For Serponado, a new subpage will be created on an existing website, which can contain either informative content or purely fictional text. You can also use a new domain created specifically for this purpose, if it’s worth the effort. Both will be evaluated, indexed, and ranked by Google. Personally, I recommend an informative text. This text can then be elegantly optimized for the main keyword “Serponado” as a side effect. Typically, images and videos are also created specifically for the competition, which are likewise keyword-optimized. Link building is also part of the process. This includes social media. This is up to each individual.
Why I'm using the SEO Contest and what I want to test with it:
My domain, FelodeSEO.com, last participated in an SEO contest in 2019. After that, I took the website offline almost entirely. All that remained was a greatly simplified homepage and an information page. Seven years later, in 2025, I brought the website back online and have since noticed that the old articles and subpages are being indexed at an extremely slow rate. This is particularly true for Google. I am therefore checking whether the website will be indexed faster or if the domain will remain lost in oblivion.
